Department of Management Science and Technology
The Doctoral program aims to create high-quality and up-to-date scientific research, as well as train scientists capable of contributing to the progress and development of science and basic research. Graduates of the doctoral program should be skilled to undertake positions of lead experts in research, business and educational potential of the country and abroad. At the same time, the doctoral program is a source of academic prestige and international academic excellence for the Department, as well as for the University in general, and contributes to the qualitative and quantitative enhancement of research output.
The minimum qualifications of PhD candidates are:
a) Higher Education Institute Degree (University or T.E.I.) of Greece or a foreign institution recognized as an equivalent.
b) Postgraduate Diploma (M.Sc.) of Greek University or a foreign institution recognized by the Hellenic NARIC as equivalent or holding a single and unbroken postgraduate degree, according to article 46 of Law 4485/2017. The postgraduate degree must have at least 60 ECTS credits.
c) Good knowledge of English language (B2).
d) Have a positive recommendation from a faculty member of the Department of Management Science and Technology.
In exceptional cases (such as high-quality and state-of-the-art scientific publication or patent) and after a reasoned decision by the Assembly of the Department, candidates who do not hold a M.Sc. degree can be accepted as PhD candidates.
The time period for obtaining the Doctoral Degree may not be less than three (3) full calendar years from the date of appointment of the three-member Advisory Committee.
